Online Learning during Severe Weather

This week we had a lot of online classes due to the freezing cold weather and icy roads we’ve been getting here in north Texas. I really appreciate that we have this alternative so we can still meet during severe weather. It’s been awhile since we returned to this format and it’s actually very fun and effective if you have a few tools ready. 

The two things I find essential are a camera and either a laptop or iPad. Here are some photos to show how the students set up the devices so that I can clearly see their hands:

This is a really fun way to teach that allows me and my students to stay in the comfort of our homes when we’re unable to meet in person.
