Welcome to my piano education website. It is my hope that this place will provide useful information for piano teachers and students.

As a piano teacher, I always strive to create a rewarding and joyous experience for students of all levels and abilities. I aim to help students develop their performance and musician skills through fun and encouraging learning processes.

Even though I am now a piano teacher, I still consider myself to be a student. After receiving my doctoral degree, I still practice daily and try to perform regularly. I also work occasionally with professors for concert preparation or to improve my own playing. As such, I see this as an informative place for anyone who plays piano, from beginners to professional musicians, and who would like to find more effective practice tips and better onstage performance outcomes.

About Me

Dr. Eliza Tsai-Lin is an active pianist, regularly performing in solo and ensemble settings in the United States, with international performances in Europe, Asia, and Canada. Eliza won a competition at the American Protégé International Piano and Strings Competition and performed at Carnegie Hall.

For her Ph.D. dissertation, Eliza examined the effects of native linguistic upbringing on music learning and performance. She has presented her findings at conferences across the country, including the Texas Music Educators Association (TMEA) and the Music Teachers National Associations (MTNA).

Performance Videos

This page is where I share my practice journey, along with the pieces that I have prepared for performances.

Piano Tutorials

I absolutely love to make video tutorials, as they provide a fantastic practice aid for students. They are also a great compliment to their piano lessons.

Online Course

Here is where you can find my online beginner piano courses. They cover basic piano techniques, reading notes on the staff, & understanding rhythm. After a few lessons, you will be able to play a full piece of recognizable music.

My Blog

This blog will document my teaching and performance journey. It ranges from the challenges and daily struggles I’ve experienced as a teacher and performer to simple tips I’d like to share. I also like to post some memorable and funny moments I’ve experienced with my students in their lessons.
